Electronic House has named the Halcro dm38 stereo amplifier as Product of the Year, 2007.
LAS VEGAS CES 2005
Halcro exhibited in two locations at the the Las Vegas CES in January 2005.
Alexis Park was used to showcase a live demonstration of the dm38 stereo amplifier and dm10 preamplifier combined with Wilson Watt Puppy 7's. Although the Alexis Park rooms have poor acoustics, the sound was impressively open and musical.
The complete Halcro range was on static display at Alexis Park in the adjacent room. The Halcro Logic range of home theater products created enormous interest from International press, distributors and dealers. The superior functionality of the SSP100 & SSP80 surround sound processors became one of the CES must see products. A private listening session was held at Alexis Park to demonstrate the MC20 performance. The MC20 proved to be outstanding to all in attendance, so stay tuned for its release in April 2005!
The Las Vegas Convention Center was the venue for the famous DTS demonstration. 16 channels of Halcro dm68's, dm58's & dm38's were used to power the JBL K2's and two JBL Pro Subs in the 30 seat home theater room which is renowned as the worlds finest surround sound demonstration. DTS premiered the Halcro SSP80 surround sound processor and found it to have superior playback qualities compared to all previously used processors/preamplifiers.
Halcro's Taiwan distributor Audio Professionals opened a lavish new showroom in late January 2005. Company president Mr David Chu has shown great taste and invested heavily into the high-end audio market. Halcro is proud to be represented by Audio Professionals. View photos 1, 2 taken in the store.
Halcro's Italian distributor Mr Enrico Tricarico and JMLab put on a wonderful display in late 2004 at the St Regis Grand Hotel, one of the finest in Rome. The main components of the system comprised Halcro dm68's, Halcro dm10 and JMLab Grand Utopia Berylium. The sound was incredible and was extremely well attended. Excel Hi-Fi (Hong Kong) recently demonstrated the Halcro dm38 stereo amplifier and Halcro dm8 preamplifier with the latest Sonus Faber Stradivari Homage loud speaker at the Shanghai Hi-end Audio Show. The demonstration was awarded best sounding room at the show. View photos 1, 2 taken at the show.
Halcro recently put on a SACD demonstration with Sony in Hong Kong. Over 200 audiophiles and press attended the demonstration. The demonstration was skilfully presented by Mr Tommy Chow from Excel Hi-Fi, Lincoln Cheng and Rebecca Chin from Hong Kong's leading high-end audio magazine, Audiotechnique.

Crest National Studios
Located in Hollywood California, Crest National is one of the most influential optical media replicators in the United States. Crest National's sprawling complex includes motion picture film labs, digital restoration services, DVD authoring and design, editing, sub-mastering and media encoding among a host of other professional services. Crest National partnered with Philips International (Netherlands) to install the first hybrid SACD replication plant in the United States.
Crest National's dedication to quality control led them to construct a state-of-the-art multi-channel SACD, quality control playback studio. Where they are able to compare the master tape to the finished SACD. The room has 17" (43 cm) thick walls and the cloth panels cover the mixture of absorptive & diffusive materials built into each wall. Each of the four corners has a large wooden defractor. All of the acoustic panels in the ceiling have been glued into place to avoid rattling. Even the HVAC has dampers in the ducts installed to reduce the noise.
Crest National spared no expense to obtain the finest electronics from Halcro (5 x dm58 amplifiers), EMM Labs (switching controls & SACD transport & DAC) and EgglestonWorks (Andra II loudspeakers), with cables by Shunyata Research. It is a remarkable quality control room where musicians, producers & engineers can listen & critique their musical production.
